Nitrile Disposables
Safety Today’s new 5 mil, longer-wearing nitrile
gloves protect workers from solvents while
providing enhanced dexterity, comfort and grip.
May 15, 2002— Safety Today introduces new nitrile gloves for comfortable light duty protection from solvents, with high resistance to snags, nicks and abrasion. Designed to provide longer-wearing protection, Safety Today’s nitrile gloves are 5 mil thick, as opposed to the 4 mil thickness common to single-use gloves. Nitrile gloves provide enhanced dexterity and sense of touch when compared to latex and vinyl. Nitrile is also three times more puncture resistance than latex of the same thickness.
Safety Today’s nitrile protective gloves feature a textured grip and beaded cuff. The gloves comply with U.S. 21CFR for use in both food and pharmaceutical applications. The gloves are ideal for labs, foodservice, light-duty manufacturing, painting, meat and food processing and light-maintenance operations.
Safety Today nitrile gloves are blue in color, 9-1/2” long and are available powdered and powder-free. A variety of sizes are available.
The long-wearing protection is free of natural rubber latex proteins that may result in allergic reactions. 1% to 6% of the general population is allergic to latex*; almost anyone can develop such an allergy with repeated exposure.
